Excellent shot, I like that and it certainly gives an idea of the conditions on the day.

I made the same mistake the other day albeit with the f stop, I’d been shooting landscapes at f8 and walked up to a gate just as a nuthatch perched on the gate post. I was quick enough with the camera and got a few shots before he flew off and then realised they were all at f8 instead of the f4 I’d been hoping for to blur the background nicely. The shots still turned out well enough but I’m going to be prepared in future. He was only a few feet away too so i did kick myself a bit lol.
