Critique Serene and Frantic.

Very cool family, Gary! (y)(y)(y)

he second image I pushed the SS to 1/4000 sec (never had my SS above 1/2500sec before) hoping to freeze the splashes in the image.

Such pictures I never shoot over 1/1000s as the movement of water
I think should not be frozen but the slower and higher droplets.

I like the action portrayed by the water drops in #2, it works very well ... but it looks like it needs lightening a little and possibly a WB adjustment to bring out the best. :)

Another vote for the second, and your choice of shutter speed.
The definition in the feathers and clarity can be seen with the fast speed.
In saying that, I'm not averse to the movement offered by a slower speed.

Thanks Daniel for viewing and commenting it is appreciated.

With that particular image it would not work with a SS of 1/1000.The swan would not have been sharp with the fast movement whilst washing.
It was handheld with a heavy 600mm lens.

Thanks for commenting and your suggestions. Will go back into PS and try them and compare the 2 images.
I did use spot metering mode (which I do not use often) to try and get the swan exposed properly.

Thanks a lot Paul.
