Yes
you'll need to be cos I couldn't get a photo sorry. i was sat in the grass and a bird landed above me. From the way the the branch moved I thought it was dove or Sparrow hawk size but I could see its under tail and it was dark spots and I would say it was thrush... But twice the size. The white behind the spots had a pinkish tinge... It stood just like a thrush and was the size of a collared dove. Heres the thing though, when it flew off its wings
Made a hell of a noise, whirring type noise and very noticeable... I googled mistle thrush but they aren't so big I don't think.
So, undulating, noisy flight
Big thrush like bird size of a collared dove?
If anyone has a clue, and gets it from my vague description I'll be mighty impressed : )
By the way its up in the Welsh hills, some woods and pasture...

Wood pigeon as they make plenty of house when in flight, especially when getting airborne.

Sounds like it, they can get rather big although usually after a mild winter or two.

Mmmm!! Whirring type noise and pink you say
