I'd clone out the other boats in the background (or recompose/crop to mask) to give it a little more of a sense of abandonment...

Love the process, very nice indeed, but I think a little more space to the right would have helped the composition I feel it is a little to central in the frame.

More space to the right possibly, but leave the other boats, at least the ones to the left .... I think they add more to that feeling of abandonment...

The sky is fantastic...very dramatic.

Thanks for all the comments, some great ideas too. I couldn't get too much more space to the left, as there were modern yachts and a jetty there.

That's exactly the effect I wanted, I love HDR but only subtle use (i.e. no halos).
