A Shorelark, a first for me I had never seen one before. I found them extremly skittish took me ages to creep up close enough and it was murder on the knees. Not my usuall background but the typical habitat for these birds.

Nailed it Karen, and in Summer plumage as well. A canny capture indeed.
 
You did'nt by chance take this one at Cley did you they were there when i went down 2 weeks ago i know you like that stretch of coastline. I really like that one (y)

What a great bird...don't see many of them on the Oldbury canal.

Can't have a plain b/g all the time...mind you there's a challenge for you.

It's great to see him in his own habitat.....which is important.

Beautiful image kaz, saw my first one of these yesterday at Bempton. Couldn't get a decent shot of it though, it was about 60 or 70 yards away.
