just wanted some advice before i click the purchase button on one of these,
Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 DC EX Macro (Nikon) standard , for £249

I think its a good price but just wondered if anyone had seen anything better..

Can't spot the difference, I imagine the more expensive one will be HSM but its not clear from the listing. I would assume the £249 one is non-HSM, and the more expensive one might be...
 
on the cheaper one it mentions that the Nikon mount includes HSM, and as its going on my D40 it needs it... well i've ordered it at that price so I shall see what arrives, it can always go back if it doesnt match the description.

but if anyone does know the difference, can they let me know as its going to nag at me now. thanks for the replies so far.
 
I think they got the prices the wrong way round, as the cheap one says "The Nikon fit version also includes an HSM auto focus motor."

Thats a good price!
 
well , after chasing it up I've now had a phone call saying that product is discontinued but the replacement is available for £319, thats £20 dearer than on their website.

so the order is cancelled.
