Sigma 24-70 f2.8 repair or replace

My sigma 24-70 f2.8 ex dg was in my rucksack when I got knocked off my motorbike, it now has a stiff manual focus and sometimes will not lock on, repair is £85 or a new(sh) later hsm one is from around £250, I would sell mine to put towards it
The lens was quite nice, but a bit slow to focus, hence looking at the hsm
any thoughts?

I have the HSM version and I find it very fast to focus, quiet and very sharp. Just uploaded a b&w portrait to my gallery shot on it actually.

A repair would buy you some warranty and a nice calibrated lens

I think the lure of faster focus means sell and get a later one
