got myself a set of tubes a couple of weeks ago and here are some of my first more successful shots

on the last shot it looks like it might have a mite or some sort of parasite on it.

Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere, but what lens did you use? How fiddly were the extension tubes to work with?

Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere, but what lens did you use? How fiddly were the extension tubes to work with?

I used my 50mm 1.8, the first 2 are without flash but the second 2 i used my sb700 flash. I`ve also used the tubes with my 18-105mm lens, i`ve posted some pics of a nursery web spider i shot using the 18-105mm. It does seem fiddly to start with, focusing is a matter of rocking back and forth but movement has to be minimal as you go in and out of focus really quickly plus it doesn`t help if its windy at all so it takes some practice to get it sharp.
