Southampton Docks & Wire Wool

Myself and a friend had out first attempts at wire wool photography a few weeks ago. Sadly only got a few shots as we were interrupted by the RNLI doing a training exercise on the same shoreline we were stood on, then the fog rolled in. However, was quite happy with how this turned out.

I like the image but do wonder if the background and the wire spinning in the foreground are competing against each other. If you get another chance moving forward so there is a space between the sparks and the ship hull may work better.

It's certainly interesting and I can see where you can learn from this and refine it for next time, especially when the RNLI aren't training!
