nice shots
looks like you were stood close to were i was looking at the angle of your images
it was a bad day. couldn't believe it started to rain just as the red arrows started the show, i was forever drying my camera and lens. and had a few err 99 due to the damp
i bet today is even worse with all the rain this morn

Excellent set of images (y)

Ideally, I'd like to have all the rotor blades in view, in the first image, but that's just me being picky

Thanks for the comments, i was in the fenced off part next to the Merlin, at
the front at the right hand side. We've give up on today and come back, it's
rained hard constanly all night, everywhere is flooded, the beach is just a
swamp.

We left about 10.45am and there were no Police, no traffic control so not
sure whats going on today. Its a shame, all the effort that goes into these
things ruined by the good old British weather. They're moving it to July next
year because of high tides during September.

As for the Merlin blades, i had the 70-300 on and couldnt be arsed walking
far enough back to get them all in, was cold and miserable ...

Cheers
.

I got a few nice shots yesterday as well but te weather was a little disapointing so didn't keep the camera out much.
We dived for cover after watching the black cats back in the car on the carpark (not the beach) still watched but couldnt see the seaking display. Then came back once it got better for the 2 fox moths and the blue one, the glider was fantastic.

i know a few yrs back i went to the one that was cancelled half way through
i not been for a couple yrs, decided to have a break, but despite the weather i enjoyed it, thought it was the best show ive been to at southport, some yrs you wait ages in between displays, but yesterday was non stop

Nice collection of photos (y) I went with my son and ended up spending quite bit my time there at the kids tanks, near the Mcdonalds which was ok for kids

Soon after i was heading back towards main area and the rain started 10mins before Red arrows :( i managed to get a couple average photos and then my joystick on a not so weatherproof 5D MkII decide to stop working so i stopped taking photo's then.

I ended up going to my car getting a umbrella and returned to watch the blades who was very good but no chance getting a photo as weather had gone very windy and loads more rain by then ...Suppose there's always next time :)
