I went on an Architectural boat tour on the Thames last Saturday.
A great day for photography but boy was it cold!
We left Festival Pier at 14:00, went upstream as far as Wandsworth and then turned and cruised back to Rotherhithe before returning to Festival pier at 17:00.
Of course the last hour or so was dusk/early evening and some of the sights from the river were really spectacular.
One of my favourites was Southwark Bridge, which is really beautifully illuminated.
Of course, in any view south of the river it's quite difficult not to include the Shard in a photograph.
