Very privileged to be able to spend nearly an hour with this happy couple a couple of days ago. The Spanish Imperial Eagles are a vulnerable species restricted to the Iberian Peninsula and can be quite skittish. This is by far the best encounter I have had with this magnificent raptor.

Z9, 400mm/2.8 Z + 1.4.

Amazing captures those are truly wonderful birds. You are one lucky person to get to see them never mind getting some rather tasty images as well.

Great work Des, a truly wonderful trio of images but the first is my favourite great colour, detail and wing position.
