A couple of shots of a Speckled Wood Butterfly I found asleep, sheltering from the wind, just managed to spot him, I couldnt really have a tidy up as he would have been disturbed

What flash setup was this using please Dave? I'm assuming it's been used, just given the high shutter speed and narrow aperture. Although I'm very new to macro photography, using an on-camera speedlite can sometimes result in some very nasty shadows, which doesn't seem to be the case here. Ringflash?

Yes your right I did use flash, set at Flash Compensation -1
