Split Rock on Derwntwater

Don't give up on landscapes. It's just a matter of learning when to try for a shot and when not to bother. You don't even need a camera to watch how the same scene changes with different lighting, different skies, different time of day/time of year etc. It's all about the light, and it's not really any different from bird photography.

Thanks for constructive responses guys :) I think I'll stick to bird photography in future ;)

As Jan says, don't give up on the landscapes just yet, you had a good eye for the shot, just the wrong time of day :)
