Nice image however it can be much stronger with a portrait crop, maybe an 8x12 crop with the head central.

I like that better. You could even go very slightly tighter. Think it makes the image stronger and brings the attention to the birds stare.

I may revisit the original as a have a few more images as i don't like to crop to much if i can help it ,problem was i only had the 300mm on and i was as close to the edge as i dare go.
