Steam at Southall 19/10/2014

Very well restored and maintained rolling stock there Tim.(y)

Thanks for the photos, must try and get to see it at some stage

Not sure where its visiting, but it was doing a few runs on the Looe branch line earlier this year. Think I saw it mentioned on the Churnet Valley at some stage too.

Believe it had a carriage/autocoach as well, not sure what's happened to that though

Ken. The Steam RailMotor is part of the GWS stable at Didcot, keeping an eye on http://www.didcotrailwaycentre.org.uk/ would surely highlight when it's next out and about.

Rich, it was originally going to run with it's trailer, but 3 or 4 weeks ago the plans changed. No reasons given, there have been rumours that NR were concerned about it's ability to pull two fully loaded coaches up the 1/150 returning along the Brentford branch. It didn't seem to be struggling at the weekend though (I guess if there had been rain and fallen leaves, it may have been a different story).

It was an interesting ride. The view of "Three Bridges" it afforded is one that most people will not have seen for 30 years or so.

There weren't nearly enough windows to be able to hang out and take photos.
