Got the colour version too but felt this made the most of the dramatic light.
Three shots at different exposures blended in CS2.

Like it. The slightly off centre rocks work for me as does the slope of the hills. I feel a slight crop top, left and right would add more prominence to the rocks.

Where is this Mike? The only "Sugar Loaf" I know in the UK is in Sutherland!

I like this too. The perspective is good looking down into the valley over the top of the rock showing the patchwork of fields below. Topping it off is a very dramatic sky and the shafts of light radiating from the hidden sun.

Davie, it is a peak in the Black Mountains in South Wales. Its Welsh name is Mynydd Pen Y Fal but is marked on the OS maps and known locally as the Sugar Loaf.

The tonal range and composition of the b&w just don't sit comfortably, but the colour shot is beautiful, strong and processed very well. The varying levels of light have been controlled superbly.
