B&W Swan

Shame the front of the face is nt more visible in the second, as I really like the barely visible reeds. The first is very nice.

Great shots Tony! How were these shot if you don't mind me asking?

1 is better and would be enhanced by eliminating a lot of the darkness
i know your camera saw this...but you can crop a bit to
take the swan out out of the centre and
make it the main subject
cheers

I think the darkness is beautiful and artistically unique. The swan was shot from an angle rarely seen. The story suggest a moment of freedom for the bird, not having to worry about predictors, dangers, etc.; a moment of relaxation and quiet. However, my opinion is that, because the bird is the obvious subject, I think the plant life should be cropped out from the second photo.

#1 is better exposed as there's a lot more detail in the feathers.
Having said that, I know how difficult it is to meter in those conditions. So respect..
I see you used spot, good choice and nice camera and lens combo too (lucky bugger) ;)

Both nice shots btw and look good converted to mono.

Both nice shots - love the first one - can just see a tiny drop of water falling from its mouth too. Lovely :)
