As the weather was bright and sunny on Sunday morning, my lovely wife suggested I take the camera out for a walk for a couple of hours. Typically the moment I was set up and ready, the sun went in, the temperature dropped and all was grey.
Still I set myself up in a spot along the canal bank where I'd seen a couple of kites working the area and waited... and waited... and waited. Got bored and when I heard a little bird chirping in the tree behind me, I decided to try and get a shot of it. Couldn't see it at first, then tucked right at the back to the bush there it was. Focusing was a bit of a pain as the lens kept picking up the myriad of branches around it.
On my way back to the car I noticed a pair of swans, one was on the nest, I'm guessing the pen and the other attentive nearby, the cob?
Still got a couple of reasonably shot and felt that I had improved a little since my last outing.
Feel free to critique as normal. Always happy to get feedback.
1) A little chubby Robin
2) Shame he turned his back, but I think I nailed the bokeh.
3) Pen on the nest.
4) Attentive cob?
Thanks for looking.
