Lovely mono images Neil, looks a really interesting place with plenty of photo opportunities.
 
no 2 for me...is that you on the bike....:D
 
the 2 images are lacking bite for me. I like black and white images to have exactly that. for me there is white and grey. The logs on the 1st shot are blown out unfortunately. The 2nd shot also needs more contrast but I do love the bike.

So you have the settings for these shots?
 
I like the composition in Number1,
Number2 is just a pic inside a barn, has less interest for me.

Do you have more variations similar to Number1?
Do you have photos of loading/unloading the kilns?
