Fantastic evening at Bradgate Park.

I initially went to photograph the Stags and saw the mist starting to roll in so headed over to get a good vantage point of the Ruins. I first stood here around a year ago on an Autumn morning so I'd been eyeing this composition for a good while.... all I needed were the right conditions.

The 'ruins' are where Lady Jane Grey, once Queen of England, lived out her childhood. Apparantly the house and gardens are haunted. Lady Jane and her husband were executed in 1553. Her coach is said to trot through the park between the old church and ruins of her former home, pulled by four headless horses.

Beautiful images - love the muted colours which make the red brick of the subject stand out. The pano presentation works really well too.

I'm not really a fan of landscape type images,
but this is rather good, not withstanding the date, and narrtive, that makes it even more special.
