doesn't really work for me because the coin on top, bottom right is out of focus

Would have been better if it was underneath the others possibly :shrug:

I think that id you used a smaller aperture to keep everything in focus, and lit up the coins towards the rear better then it would work much better

I've done something similar before using a flash on the camera and had to aim it behind me to light all of the coins equally. Make sure you have a wall right behind you and a relatively low ceiling and it makes this type of shot far easier!

As has been said the Focus/DoF is the main thing letting this one down, and it's a little under exposed but I do like the idea of paper and coin both being £5
