Ha ha! Well they are not the same fly of course but I thought these 2 images worked quite well together. The first as taken on a washing line. I was being a bit lazy and should have done something about the black background. The second is a composite of 2 images, so you can see the fly in a bit more detail. This was taken halfway up the trunk of a tree, but the pale bark matched the washing line well enough, and the light falloff created that same inky blackness :) Not a technically brilliant shot, but it's nice to get a bit of action going on!

Tim the black background suits the images mate.

Excellent shots. If only the forum could play music cause the death march would suit this set. :p

Really liking No1 Tim, those red eyes are cracking.

Great couple of shots Tim, I noticed the fly was different straight away from the leg colour.
 
Tim good pair but really like the red eyed one - all up to your usual high standards (y)
 
2 fantabulious shots... #1 is my fav... those eyes.... red eyes, it must be a vamp fly:D
