Beginner Time lapse... where to start?

Just bought an EOS1300d and have a basis 18-55 Image Stabilised lens, just ordered an intervalometer, and have a tripod in the loft.
I want to dip my toe into time lapse... was thinking landscapes in the first instance.
Anyone got anywhere they can point me please?

Have a look on the right hand side of this video on youtube. There's loads of tutorials on there.
