Today I did something very different......

Got invited to fly in a light aircraft by a mate I know..



Arrived at Sherburn airfield at 9.30am prompt..

Had a look around our ride for the day..

Usual checks to be done..

Cockpit..

Nearly 1,000 feet and climbing..

Now we are 3,200 feet and airborn..

How about me having a go Steve??? Stick to taking the pictures Tim..:razz:

Might as well have a shot of this helicopter while I'm here then..

Cool i dont normally get chance to take pics when flying, hands are generally a bit full nice shots and the helicopter is a Gazelle

I flew today as well. Without camera, I was practicing my spirals and kicking the tops of trees, childish I know but it has been a long time since my last flight.

Nice shots
Sherburn is a lovely airfield - I've been quite a few times looking at the planes and especially the helicopters (Anorak ON ).
A couple of years ago my daughter and I went on an experience flight where we took the controls for a time and flew over our house...it was great.
