No1 is great!!
I'm not sure that only having one foot in focus in the 2nd works for me
 
Bloody hell, that first one's great, I'm jealous! Why don't my shots turn out like that. Our Jack is a wrigglesome bugger and is either asleep in moses basket with no room to get a decent pic (because of the side creating too much shadow), or waggling his feet and trying to box!

Got any hints or tips for those less able than yourself?

Back to your pics... I prefer the first. I think a nice closeup of one foot is an essential shot to get too. Looks like you should be able to manage that with ease. :p
 
i like both! But number 1 is better balanced imo, love the dof so much!

These were taken next to a big 8'x8' patio windows. so lots of natural light. I waited untill the boy had just had his bottle and about to fall asleep " ideal time as he is still"

sat him in his baby rocker with his feet hanging over the end. then play about with different shots and apps.(y)

These were taken with the good old nifty fifty. with manual focusing " I found this was easier especially when they are awake"

If no2 had both feet in focus then that would be my favourite, because I think the tighter crop works better with this.

Have these had any PP work? (apart from converting to BW)

I agree with everyone else, No1 is just lovely. A superb mono conversion too :clap:

I think there's something a-foot with No2 :D

Aaaah #1 is ace, I remember when I did my feet shot she just would not hold still, I had to manual focus and spring the shutter like lightening to grab both feet in the focal plane. (Baby picture #5 I think)

Nice to see Liam again mate (y)
