Too much colourization?

Hi

Must admit I like this photo of my girlfriend in Ireland as there were so many contrasting reds. Thought I would try out colourization using GIMP. Not sure if it works or not as I'm very new to photography so would appreciate any comments. Incidently I hadn't noticed before but can see now that the face is in shadow so I am, at least, learning to notice things.

I like it, did you try one with the two cars coloured red too, or was that too much?

Thanks. No. I had a quick look at the car on the left and felt that it would have unbalanced the image. If I knew how to simply go back and put them in I would try it though just to see.
