Got very very wet taking a few shots at the finish of the Tour of GB cycle race yesterday afternoon (stage 3), at least I managed to get into the media tent.
Walked in and asked for a press pass, was asked if I was an accredited photographer, I said I don't think im on the list but im from picturestock worldwide, that coupled with big slr round neck got me a media pass and bright yellow bib, hmm nice. still I got free coffee and a dry place to wait till the riders turned up.

tour of kent is going near me in west malling, not sure of the route though

Been both sides of this sport! It's tough to race and it's tough to photograph.... so well done.

I took my son to Le Havre to watch (photograph) the end of a Tour de France stage. 8 hours travel there and 8 back - went past in 32 secs! We decided to go to Paris the next year to watch the last stage on the Champs Elysees. He was only 11 years old, didn't take much persuading.

I admire the guys that shoot from the backs of motorbikes descending the mountains..... nerves of steel.
