Track cycling from a Herne Hill track day 21st September

This is my favourite cycling shot I have taken, virtually a photo finish for a sprint final.

Sadly there isnt any sense of movement in the 1st shot. It just looks static.
The 2nd however with a bit of panning is much better

I think both shots are spoiled by distractions in the background.

1 may have been better shot from the other side. Plus the riders would be lit by the sun rather than in shadow.

The guy in red takes the eye from the rider in the second shot.

This is imho a far better shot.

Cheers, I guess I like the first shot because I captured it like a photo finish rather than the quality of the photo.
