upgrade help

hi guys im looking into upgradeing my camera i got a nikon d40 with a cupple of lenses and was wondering what other nikon cameras take the same lenses so i can just get a new body to start with then build up my kit

Any lens which works with your D40 will work with any other Nikon DSLR. It's not true the other way round though.
