I've been out and about getting the last shots for my last wee film and I saw a couple of things you I thought I'd share.. Not great photos but just strange behaviour really. I found a yew tree in the church yard and the long tail tits were sunbathing on top of it. not like a dustbath or a rest, proper upside down. I managed to film it but here are a couple of shots.. the video of them is here. although I only managed to film one panting and "half reclined" . I'd never seen them doing that before..

And this doesn't need any explanation (apart from its dead) but it is , or rather was as big as a snake ever gets in the uk I think.. I measured her at 39 inches but that was not completley straight
Again I filmed it as well to make a short story out of it.

That tit is funny...I've seen birds sunning themselves before but never on their backs :LOL:

You're right, the longeryou watch them the more realisse that they are strange little birds :) Just before I started videoing them, there must have been half a dozen doing it. Trouble is they were very high up so to get half close I'd need to up the tree next to them, then hope they did it again..:D

Very unusual behavior from those quick little birds - well spotted and well caught :)
