Vera at RAF Coningsby

Great set, hoping to see them next weekend.

Great hoping to see it at Dawlish....first one is great imo

Born during WW2, and living in a location surrounded wartime airfields I was too young to remember these icons flying above me, but it is heartwarming to see these two examples being preserved, as reminder of just how much we owe the guys that flew in them, of which 55,000 never came home.

Great pictures, and may our descendants still be able to see them for many years to come.

Dave

Are you going to Sywell?
No I'm probably going to the Combined Ops show at Headcorn although I know Sywell very well as I used to live in Northamnpton.

Fantastic set Paul, can't wait to see them both in the air together. Must have been a great day despite the weather.

Like Bob, looking forward to seeing the pair in the air together at Dawlish (and meeting him again!)

As always, Paul, a great set.

What can I say, simply great stuff again, I do like number nine, if you could clone out the background and convert to B+W you could just have been there lol.

Fantastic set of pictures, it must have been a great day, and a fantastic experience. Such a shame so many of these aircraft got scrapped after the war. I'm really looking forward to seeing them at Clacton airshow, I just prey the weather will be good!

Makes you wonder if any Harriers are still about for future generations to see.

Paul - do you know if Vera had an escort plane to get across the Atlantic, or did she do it on her own?

Just a quick heads up - all tickets for Sywell have been sold. If you haven't got an advance ticket you will not get in.
