4) BBMF Avro Lancaster at Southend Airport. I left the shutter speed too fast on this shot, but it's not often I get to see it on the ground these days.

What a superb set, I never thought I would say this when there are historic aircraft so well photographed but the pilot is my favourite, what a great capture.

Great pictures Dan.

Very nice set, well done.
I never realised there was a 2-seat Hurricane.
The Cat reminded me of when they were advertising shared ownership of it at £25k a pop.

That's a great set Dan and I bet each brings back memories of the day they were taken.

Thanks for sharing :D

Great set, ;)

Very nice set of aviation style captures Dan.

I think it is.

Thanks for the kind comments.

Second one is my favourite, is that a Corsair?
Yes it is, it's The Fighter Collection's Goodyear FG-1D. I was going to add captions last night and forgot to, I'll do that now.

I never realised there was a 2-seat Hurricane.
It's a fairly recent thing - it was formerly owned by Hangar 11 at North Weald but was put up for sale and ended up being converted by the same company that restored it. It was the first time I'd seen it since it was with Hangar 11 and I used to help push it in/out of the hangar.

What a great set of images of lovely old aircraft (y)

I like the shot of the pilot too :)
