Yes
I have been looking at the panasonic lumix dmc-fz1000, and I wanted to find out what people thought about this camera?

I am surprised nobody has answered your query Daniel, although it is a relatively new camera , and perhaps not many have had a play with it yet, I have looked and tried it out at my local camera shop and although I was impressed with it (so was the owner) it wasn't much difference in size to a DSLR so not for me as a walk about option, but I suggest you look online for reviews as most are quite favorable.

Well it's a bridge camera designed as 'an all in one'. It was primarily aimed at taking on the sony rx10, with 3 clear advantages 200mm longer lens, 4k video and cheaper price.

In reality you got a bigger camera More like a bridge camera with longer zoom and less IQ.
Cheaper plasticky feel
Creating a longer lens simply creates more compromises on IQ
Sensor whilst the same size as rx10 at 1 inch loses out on dynamic range.
The lens isn't constant aperture and starts to drop the moment you zoom in.
Non weather proofed.

The video on the rx10 is so good that whilst 4k is better unless you really need 4k the gap is barely there.
