Where have the bugs gone?

Yes
Over the last few days I have noticed a considerable drop in bugs.

There usually loads bonking away but I only saw one pair. A few flies, hardly anything else.

I dont know if I'm missing them or there's a genuine drop? Maybe I've blinded them all with my flash and stopped their ability to breed and make more :nailbiting:

So best of today was one fly and a flamin dandelion.

canon 600d, 50mm f1.8 (shot at F11, diffuser with toilet roll) and raynox 250.

1.. Looks a bit dark to me but when I tried to bump it up a little either in exposure or highlights, the fluffy white things get blown out and the detail starts getting lost. Not sure what that is on the right either?

Need a change of scenery I think.

Excellent set who needs bugs? I had a dry day of not many bugs then yesterday loads were out so just keep looking.

Will do, going to abandon the raynox and use ext tubes with the lighting setup just to see how it goes for a couple of mornings. Cheers bryn :)

Will be interesting to see difference. Plus you'll have to get used to lighting for tubes. I'm going to have to write down settings for each of my setups to save time.
