Mono for me too, but yep, it's a bit grey and drab looking. The ideal black and white shot has a good black, a good white and as full a range of tones in between as possible - assuming they're there in the subject obviously. You have the black in your shot, but not the white, although you can get close to it with a bit of curves and contrast adjustment to give a bit more pizzaz.
