Which Zoom Lens?

Out of the two below, will I really notice the extra 100mm?

For the sake of £20 it almost seems worth getting

300mm

My initial thought was 'does "photogeek" work for Jessops?' especially seeing as this is your first post on here.

If this is a serious question then of course you would notice the extra 100mm. It would make a huge difference. 100mm is a lot!

I dont work for Jessops, its the only camera shop in my town

I will get the 300mm one then I think, seems a decent price

For the shots you will be taking are you ok with the max apertures of these two though?

is the sony cropped??

Versatile medium telephoto to telephoto zoom offers 35mm equivalent focal length range of 82.5–300mm
Equivalent 35mm-format focal length: 112.5-450 mm

therefore 150mm is a lot!

To be honest, photography is a hobby of mine and I have only just started so dont really have hundreds to spend on a zoom with a huge apature.

unless you're looking at low light stuff or gigs and candid portraits indoors, then these things are pretty handy
shoot with good like and the onboard IS will help you out a treat if you have the right sony..dont' know much about them tbh
