Agree with the comments here, a big improvement. Its a tricky exposure to manage with such a strong dynamic range.
Did you consider a small flash with exposure set for the outside? It might have been how I'd have done this, diffused speedlight?

Think this is much better than the previous one you put up, not so processed and brings out the wood well

Yet to get a flash.
There was a cracking set in here of a chap who went into an old building and got exposure outside too, used flash, might be an idea for you. Ive got an SB910 for portraits etc.

I remember the shots and the thread thanks Steve, certainly better than HDR.
