5 & 6 are brilliant. You should be well pleased with your results. Excellent.

I am pleased, but the 'goths' made it easy enough for me, they were more than happy to pose, in fact they kind of expected it, so for anyone who is reluctant, or feels uncomfortable (like I do) with street photography, this is a champion way of doing it, the goths were having such a good time, most didn't take themselves too seriously , and it was so easy slipping into the carnival atmosphere of it all.

No 1 I like the "mystery" of it all. Like the DOF too.
No2. A real shrinking violet!
no3 A real study in concentration from him.
No 4 One word. Scary!
No5 Lovely & my favourite.Nice eyes.
No6 For me this is more a sort of glamour shot than a straight goth if you understand what I mean.
Fair enjoyed that set from you.

You should contact Whitby tourist people with these. Number 1 in particular would be a cracker on a leaflet for Whitby.

Great shots, I have friends that go most years, would love to go with my camera. I love no 5:)

I really love #6 Les, it stirred something inside me. Such a wonderful shot (y)

Wow... 666... again, as with your Pt2 thread, it's number #6 all the way. If I could be bitten by a vamp I'd want it to be her, and in that shot!

A great set and I normally hate to follow the crowd.............................but I have to agree with the majority and go for No 6 as the bestest!!

great shots!

can't choose which is my fave, but I think im in love with the girl in pic 6!:love::love::love:

:LOL::LOL::LOL::LOL::LOL::LOL:

Pee off! She's biting me first!

Thanks everyone, it was certainly a fun shooting afternoon.

Although No.5 is my favourite, mainly because she was such an interesting and animated subject, I can understand the appeal of the girl in the window.

Sometimes us togs need just a bit of luck, I was sheltering from a shower in one of Whitby's narrow shopping streets, and you know that soft almost luminous light you get sometimes after a shower, well this coincided with me looking up and seeing this lassie sitting in a window above one of the shops, looking wistfully out into the distance. I found an angle so that there was enough light reflected in her eyes and took the shot.

I think part of her appeal (apart from being drop dead gorgeous) is there is a certain dishevillment about her ,the hole in her tights, eye make up slightly smudged, dark lip gloss starting to fade, add the faded/peeling window frame and there is a hint of decadence about it all.

Very satisfying afternoons shoot, and the next Goth weekend is 30 Oct-1st Nov 2009.....worth putting a note in your diary (y)

Ooops, just noticed there were actually other pictures too.
In all seriousness though they are some great studies.
