Just thought I would share some of my fav's from the Steam Rollers vs the Ultraviolent Femmes matchup.

All taken with the 5D and 85mm. I know someone will mention noise but I kind of like it on these.

Better late that never but I can only see its going to be one awesome year for RD.

Have a search online for Manchester Roller Derby. There are male and female leagues and im sure there are some local teams to you. Real great sport to watch let alone trying to photograph.

Definately worth a visit.

Cant beat watching girls knock lumps out of each other, i usually watch it with mud involved though

Its really difficult. Its one of those sports you have to see it to really get the jist of it.

All jokes aside, these women are pretty damn tough. There was a large European tournament earlier in 2009 and taking down members at speed landing on concrete, brushing it off and coming back is just something even I could not handle for too long.
