Not the best seats in the house, but I enjoyed the evening. Don't normally do sports, and being relatively short I found it hard to avoid getting peoples heads from the rows in front in shot.

do you have any more action shots or close ups of expressions. theres nothing wrong with the pics, im just not getting anything coming across that the players were putting in any effort? Do you know what I mean, like some people who photo tennis players, get the expressions at the moment they're about the hit the ball back, but the ladies in these pics look like they were just doing it for fun. Doesnt "look" competitive, if that makes sense?

I know what you are saying. I found it difficult shooting the centre of the court without getting heads the people in front in the way, and the "action" shots I did get just seem cluttered.

Here's some more action orientated shots.

I guess because I'm not normally into sports photography and more interested in minimalist landscapes, I prefer the minimalist type portrait type sports shots.

Nice shots, I found it very difficult myself to get full court shots, the person in front of me had a 100-400 (nothing wrong with that, I had the same), but they insisted on keeping the hood on, even though the sun was behind us. And they constantly leant forward, or stood.
