Auto just wont work for panning shots,start off in manual at 1/200 shutter speed & gradually bring it down,takes practice.

never had an issue panning in AF...Looks more like technique lacking this time to be brutal.

try at 1/200 and work it down as advised above

Doesn't need to be manual, try it on shutter priority and has been said keep the
shutter speed high to start off with. When you get the hang of panning you
can try dropping the speed to get some blur in the wheels..

Also you need the focus mode on AF-C (continuous), if its all in auto the camera
doesnt know if your trying to photograph a flower or a jet fighter...

Still good to see Gonzo running again though
