Utterly superb shot/image. Nice and sharp. Looks good in mono.

Also used to be a brilliant hunting dog but hes now retired due to the ban :(

He’s absolutely beautiful c0zz and I think that’s a great photo on every level; nice composition coupled with a mono conversion which really suits the shot. I prefer #1 as it shows his back paws and think you've got the DoF spot-on (y)

Just out of interest what colour is Zack? I might well know the current whereabouts of one of his litter mates - the age and your location certainly fit! ;) The resemblance to the hound who calls me his own is uncanny. Aren't lurchers just the most loyal and rewarding companions? :)

There brilliant, He is a ginger lercher, He is 11 this year, He is a dad to a litter i don't know the whereabouts of alot of the dogs, but one is with my step-dads mother and she is just the same as him, hes a brilliant companion and is so loyal, he shadows my mother everywhere.

Would be brilliant if it worked out that the dog was one of his litter i would like to see a photograph of the dog.

Yep, my own boy Sol is a ginga too! He accompanies me absolutely everywhere I go and is welcome even in shops and restaurants as he's so beautifully behaved. Comes to work and college with me too - sounds very much like the bond which your mother shares with Zack

I can’t find any pics of him in the same pose as Zack at the moment but they really are very alike.

I've posted links rather than images as I don't want to hijack Zack's thread:

I do voluntary work for a small local charity which rescues and rehomes lurchers and longdogs. We meet up on the second Sunday of each month for a walk and you’d be very welcome to join us. Please PM me if you’d like further details.
