Updated, 25 June 2020 with new dates courtesy of Covid19.

It seems , according to @simon ess , that I have volunteered to head up the 2020 version of the this challenge. See last years thread.
The advance notice gives you time to get ordering, putting on Santa's list or loudly hinting (or scouring charity shops and car boots like me) in time to get shooting from Christmas Day 2019.

So based on last year's successful format :-

The challenge is to post up to three photographs taken with a disposable, single use film camera after Christmas Eve 2019.
A thread on which to post those photos will be created at the end of June August. This will be the entries and voting thread.

At the same time, another thread will be created on which to post any other photos you might wish to share.

The final date for entries is 5th. July 18th September 2020.
Voting will take place from 5th. July 20th. September until 20th. July 2nd October 2020. You will be able vote for your three favourite photos.
The subject matter is open, up to you, do your own thing.
Basic processing allowed, but nothing extreme. (I think we know what is meant by this)

This thread is for discussion, chat and waffle.

Enjoy.

You still have time to add a disposable camera to your list for Santa.

You will need another organiser for next year - I'm off.

Plans for 2020 changed significantly for me so I am around and able to organise this. Have changed the dates to give us the rest of the summer to use whatever disposible cameras we have or can find. This one I picked up today at a newly reopened Oxfam shop, it is 2007 expired!

I've got a film from a 3D, three lens, disposable and the frames are all blank, it is very ancient. Would those be of any interest? Well, you might say, better than most of his other pictures.

Just tried to get into it to put in a new film. Quite a challenge. Almost there, only stabbed myself twice so far.

Got in the camera using maximum, non-lethal force, not much blood spilt. Might be usable.

Missed this thread first time round. If I can get a camera I'll give it a go.

I think I have one somewhere, if so, I'm in again.

That is the Maxim finished, though considering the recent weather the waterproof one might have proved useful. Looking at forecast it might still.[emoji3547][emoji2414][emoji571].IMG_20200817_162621-01.jpg

Just found an Ilford one I bought last year, or maybe the year before. I'll attempt to get it shot.

I may have a go at this. Found this at the back of a drawer and must've been there a few years now. I vaguely remember getting this as a freebie for buying foreign currency from The Money Shop.

Was this challenge called "Dumpties of the Year" or something like that a few years back?

It was called the "Numpty Behind the Lens" Challenge one year.

I think it might have been called the "Idiot behind the Lens" another year, hehe!

(Well, better than being known as a grump, I suppose...)

So far, every shot on the roll form my Kodak Sport waterproof camera has a double-image. Not a double-exposure, just a weird doubling of the picture. I'm assuming the high-end lens assembly had a defect not spotted by the extensive quality control that I'm sure these things go through.

It's added a strange, painterly effect to a few of the shots, so I suspect those will be the ones you'll all be subjected to...

Well I picked up a disposable last week and shot a few things on Saturday. Looking at the dates above I better get cracking and shoot the rest.

Finished the second { waterproof} camera. Time to get the Jobo fired up and see if there is anything worthwhile on the two films.

Processed my Fujifilm Quicksnap yesterday and scanned this evening. Quite impressed with the quality of the lens on this compared to others in the past, not convinced I've got any winners but at least I've got something to enter :)

They'll be better than the farcical double-image blurry rubbish that I got out of mine.

Mine all suck but I'll enter some anyway... is there a thread already that I'm just being too dense to see?

Just got the film developed and literally none of them are any good. The film must've way passed the sell-by date. So can't enter this year but look forward to next.
That's a bummer! I've just posted mine off today, so middle of next week for my delight or disappointment.

The info is in post #1. and that means the entry thread is imminent. @dmb

I meant to set the entries up before today, in time to remind me it is my wedding anniversary, entries close on my wife's birthday 18th , voting ends on my birthday 25th. Half way through a bottle of wine, hic, so excuse any spelling errors.

Sounds like you might have started the celebrations a bit early... not sure you'll stand the pace there David? ;)

That is one mighty kinky camera. Hope my waterproof one did not have a built-in prism effect. We shall see having recovered from 'celebrating' the Wedding Anniversary I think am safe to breathe in the vicinity of film without giving it double vision when I fire up the Jobo.

Jobo temperatures stable, film rescued from cameras, leaders retrieved, tank loaded and having 5 minutes dry pre-warm. Procol Harum album on speakers. Time to grab a drink and get to it.MVIMG_20200905_150846_resize_89.jpg

Album finished as I hung films to dry. Timing! There is a competition on as I can see some faint images on both films. [emoji3166]

Mine up in the entries thread, not that I hold out much hope. Any more waiting to enter? You have until the 18th, if there are unanticipated delays in processing and delivery let me know and I might be a bit tardy in closing the stable door.
