    Snowdon Landscape

No, funnily enough I've just bought a new laptop and was looking at monitor calibration tools yesterday. Any recommendations?

    Snowdon Landscape

Thanks for the feedback everyone. Post processing is definitely a weak point for me so it's very helpful to hopefully improve. I might have another go at this one and see if I can strike the right balance.

    Snowdon Landscape

Just downloaded a new photo editing programme (Affinity), so I have been going through and re-editing some of my past photos. I think this one has turned out quite well, especially now when I compare to the original version. I am kicking myself that I didn't retain the RAW files from this trip...

    A Kestrel and a Wren

Haven't been out with my camera and long lens for quite a long time, but having recently bought a new photo editing programme (Affinity) it has spurred me back into life. Unfortunately didn't see a great deal on my walk round Farlington Marshes yesterday, but I managed to grab two shots I was...

In search of the Short Eared Owls....

Nice shots - I've been trying to spot a short eared owl at my local reserve (Farlington Marshes) for bloody ages and haven't managed to get any photos of them at all!

    First Red Kites

Apologies for dragging up an old thread, but I got Affinity photo editing software today so I thought I'd have another play with the RAW files from these photos. Affinity is definitely a step up from the free Canon RAW software that I was previously using - wish I bought it sooner! Anyway, here...

    Gibraltar

Whilst working away in Gib recently I got a chance to have a hike up the rock. The views were great, although the weather could have been better! Gibraltar Rock by Adam Palmer, on Flickr Gibraltar Rock B&W by Adam Palmer, on Flickr

    First Red Kites

Thanks, I have the RAW files so I will try to give the heavily shadowed ones a lift- I was just mindful of not washing the images out and retaining the nice winter lighting

    First Red Kites

Managed to get my first shots of Red Kites this weekend. They've always annoyed me, as I see them flying low all the time whilst driving, but never when I'm out with my camera. Luckily I saw quite a group of kites flying nice and low yesterday, and the light was really good at times. Red Kite...

    Monkey World

That's a great set, the portrait work is lovely! The black and white conversion is very nice too, something I'm trying to improve on at the moment.

    Frosty Morning Set

Here's a few snaps from a cold frosty morning at Summer Leys in Northamptonshire yesterday. Great numbers of Bullfinches there! Frosty Male Bullfinch by Adam Palmer, on Flickr Frosty Male Bullfinch by Adam Palmer, on Flickr Frosty Female Bullfinch by Adam Palmer, on Flickr Winter...

    Snowdonia Set

Thanks for the feedback. I kind of like the stones in the foreground and the lines that they create.

    Snowdonia Set

After a week in North Wales and a walk up Snowdon, here are some of my favourite snaps from the journey up. I haven't done any landscape photography for a very long time, and my knowledge of what works best in pp is limited, but I quite like this handful of shots. With scenery like this though...
