    The Official Fuji X10/X20/X30/XF1/XQ1 Thread

Same here, I ordered a lens for my Fuji kit during the August bank holiday weekend from DR. It was picked up from them just after midday on bank holiday Monday and I received it here in Weat Wales before midday on the Tuesday! Now that's what I call service!

What kit? (Just a bit of fun)

I agree, less can be more sometimes. I took out my Olympus OM10 today for the first time in about three years, it was good to be back shooting film!

What kit? (Just a bit of fun)

I'd probably go for a Leica too, possibly the Monochrom

What kit? (Just a bit of fun)

That's what I thought made it an interesting discussion. It's just a bit of fun after all.

What kit? (Just a bit of fun)

An interesting question came up in the photo club the other night and I though it may be a bit of fun to continue the discussion here. So... If you had an unlimited cash flow (lottery win maybe) and you had to buy one camera and a selection of lenses, what would it be? Aled

Current DSLR kit or Fuji any advice?

I've done pretty much exactly what you're considering (Nikon D600 to X-E1 in my case ) and haven't looked back. There's virtually no difference in image quality and I now have my kit with me virtually all the time as opposed to it being stuck in the house. I considered the backwards step I...

    Vanguard hard cases

I had a look at the vanguard cases a while ago and found them to be well made, plenty good enough for what I wanted i.e. a big box to store stuff in the house. However if you need a hard case to be used out in all weathers/slung in the back of a truck/used as a step/stool etc I'd go for a Peli...

    X100S or GX7 or.....?

I agree, sell the GF1 and consider the Fuji X-E1, the "kit" lens is really very good indeed and as a package, can be bought from the likes of Digitalrev for £719! Bargain!! It's not the fastest of cameras to use, but with the latest firmware I find it very enjoyable, and much prefer using it...

My Fuji 14mm F2.8 just great!

    Fuji x100

I totally agree with the support for the X100 above! Owning the Fuji was a real lightbulb moment for me, the sudden realisation that I needn't carry a bag full of DSLR kit to capture quality images. In fact, of the images chosen by my local pub to be on display/sale, 4 of the 5 were from the...

    Fuji X-E1/X-E2/X-E2S/X-E3 Owners Thread

I've just had a quick play with the X-E1 tonight, and although it was pretty dark in the kitchen, first impressions are impressive! I'd say that it's high ISO is about on par with my old Nikon D600. The AF performance was also pretty snappy, much better than I expected to be honest. I'll test...

decent tripod kit for modest budget ?

Have a look at Redsnapper tripods, they have quite a following on here as good quality, reasonably priced kit. Redsnapper used to give a 10% discount to talkphotography members also - they might still do. Personally I use a Three Legged Thing tripod which I find very good, but it's a little...

Move to Compact system from DSLR?

I'm in the process of moving from a Nikon D600 and a few pro lenses to the Fuji X-E1 for the exact same reason, it's pointless having a bag full of kit and just leaving it in the house! From the reading I've done there's very little between the image quality of the new Fuji X cameras and some...
