There is a small download for the 5d's and you just plug a usb in. Worked with ours. :)

How to find out shutter count, please....

Does this work with all Canons? I know our 5Dii's had a slightly different system to some others when I have checked shutter counts in the past. Very clever way to do it tho!

Help please! Lightroom to Photoshop Problems.

This has now been solved. If anyone is interested, what had happened is that when Aimiee was asked whether to 'Open Anyway' or 'Render Using Lightroom', she chose Open Anyway, and told it not to ask her again. Reset all the warnings, and now back to normal! =)

Help please! Lightroom to Photoshop Problems.

Hi All, We have recently rebuilt our editing machine, and something funny is now happening when choosing to 'Edit in Photoshop' from Lightroom. We think it is happening with colour images (slightly) but is much more visible on B&W. Some details first to get rid of most of the obvious problems...

    Off Camera Flash

I fully agree, it is better to buy something rather than nothing, IF it is for a hobby or for fun, as I mentioned repeatedly in my post. But if you are planning on using it a lot, then it is a false economy. When we first started studio work, we used imported triggers at £30-£40 a set. They...

    Off Camera Flash

just another thought for a bodge fix if it is just for fun.... you could place a piece of black card a little way in front of the on-camera-flash. This would allow the flash trigger signal to bounce back to the external flash, but it wouldn't hit the subject. Just a thought. =)

    Off Camera Flash

As Phil said, there is little shadow, which is causing the shot to look a bit like a 'snap shot' rather than a professional photo. If it is just for fun, get a cheap trigger off ebay, or if it is an investment, look to pay over £100 for the triggers, to make sure they last. The Canon ST-E2 is...

Does a high resolution monitor make a big difference in editing?

We just recently purchased 2x Dell 24" IPS monitors (1920x1080) for just under £200 each to increase our editing capabilities. The resolution of the screen doesn't really make editing 'better' other than the fact you can fit more in, so your picture itself takes up more of the screen. We run...

    Cornish Peregrine

Looks really cinematic. :) Can I ask where abouts in Cornwall. We live in Cornwall, and as I am useless at landscape photography, I would love to try and do some wildlife stuff when I get some spare time!

Beginner Still having beginner problems with lighting (in camera flash)

As an example, this is a straight out of camera shot (other than reducing to 50% size) to show how non-reflective 'black felt' is. There are 2 large flash heads fairly close to the baby, who is surrounded by black felt. Obviously we would then edit it further to hide it, but it shows how little...

Beginner Still having beginner problems with lighting (in camera flash)

I guess this is part of the answer. If this is just a hobby for your own enjoyment, then don't stress overly on the setup. Try the cheaper options that have been recommended, it they work, great, if they don't, you haven't lost a lot. Although Photography is a great hobby, it is also a very...
