All great shots. That Bintruong looks rather heavy to be sitting on shoulders though.
Thanks for the heads up on what looks like a great place for photography, I'll probably be heading there on Wednesday now (Was thinking of Colchester Zoo on Wednesday if the weather holds) :)
That's happened to me at Paradise with the White Lion!
Lovely set, The Caracal and Puma are cracking pics. I do like Wingham but always have the same problem with the Black Jaguar. It would help if they painted some of that fence black!
Thanks again for the comments. Colchester Zoo is a great place for photography, it's the only place I've visited with Chimps but their enclosure is a little dark and you have to boost the ISO since they don't sit still for very long. Luckily I went there first and caught them at feeding time...
Thanks for the comments, the Amur Leopard does like to pose for the camera.
Wasn't a bad day, couple of short heavy showers though, but thankfully I was close to cover when they hit!
FINALLY found the time and inclination to get out with the camera, first time this year!
This Orangutan was only about a foot from the glass so I grabbed my old 50D with Sigma 17-70 and pressed the lens flat against the glass for this!
'...and I'm supposed to be BELOW you on the evolutionary...
Love the Tiger stretching, little more to the left and you might have seen daylight straight through....
Looks like the lion cub had just been forced to eat sprouts too!
A few more from the archives...

5 of the Timber Wolves at Colchester Zoo escaped today and 3 had to be destroyed!

Devastated for the zoo on the loss of these beautiful animals!
After a lot of hassle with the local Cash Generator, I managed to return the lens for a refund. They know nothing about photography so trying to explain the problem was a nightmare!
Hi
I've just picked up a secondhand Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 and found it to be really lacking sharpness at wider apertures.
I've pitted it against my Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS (Mk1), and the much cheaper Sigma 17-70 f/4.5-5.6 (Non IS) that it was to replace, and found the 24-70 to be much worse...
Thanks for the warm welcome!
I've already posted up a few in the 'Zoo' section.
There's a serious wealth of knowledge, expertise and experience here, looking forward to becoming a part of it!
