Took a first time trip to North cave wetlands in East Yorkshire a couple of weeks ago. I must admit that I was astounded by the diversity of bird species there. I only managed to get to 2 hides and around the feeders but all were full of all types of birds with a few first time sightings such as...
Linets have a nest at the bottom of my garden. Never even seen one around before, there's always one using the feeder as a lookout. Just need to improve my photography
Can anyone ID this youngster looks like a juvenile gold or green Finch but I could be wrong. Sorry for the rubbish photos taken on my phone heavily zoomed in didn't get chance to get the Nikon out.
I've had a bit of time setting up my new job, so decided to set some feeders up. I can't believe how many types of bird I've never seen before come out of the woodwork so to speak. I've also seen things I have never seen before like goldcrest, siskins, bullfinch and also 3 X treecreepers...
