    Canon EOS R Series Cameras

Also - not discussed that much yet, but these rumoured lenses look pretty tasty! Guess it depends on what their price points are!!

    Canon EOS R Series Cameras

I have heard that the UK price for the RP will be £1400 - which is a pretty impressive price for a camera of this (supposed) spec.

    A few small woodland birds

Thanks Mike. Great advice! I'm lucky I had advice on hand, but yeah happy thus far and looking forward to improving. Also with post processing I need to start getting an idea of what good composition is. Thanks a lot for the kind words and words of wisdom!

    A few small woodland birds

Second proper dedicated day out doing some bird photography, first with my new-ish Sigma 150-600mm. Had a great time, thankfully with a friend of mine who knows exactly what they're doing and helped me (a lot) along the way! Blue Tit 2 by daff-ington, on Flickr Blue Tit 1 by daff-ington, on...

    Waxwings and Redwings from Sheffield

These are fantastic - did you take these from the ground? Love some of the close up shots.

If you're happy with it, then that's all that matters surely! I'm sure the guys are being helpful, but your bubble shouldn't be burst - if you like it, great!

    Profiteering and/or price fixing?

I'm pretty sure Calumet had issues, I know they went bust in the USA first and think the timing for their buyout was good timing because their store in London was going to be demolished for HS2. Your points are all valid though - but there are certain industries that have been impacted more by...

    Profiteering and/or price fixing?

Partially true - but it's also because the camera industry is nowhere near as big as it was 10/15/20/25 years ago. It's decreased massively over that time. Whilst the cameras themselves have developed hugely in a technical sense, the vast majority of people are happy with what their phones can...

    Profiteering and/or price fixing?

There's factors like currency - so when the pound is weak as it currently is that will help drive up prices . Another one is where these products originate from - most come through distribution centres in Europe via the manufacturing plants in Asia. Grey importers have a whole load of logistics...

    Wild Few red Squirrels.

I think the quality is perfectly fine. Especially considering you took these at ISO 10,000! I'd be delighted with these personally .

Love the shot in Bath - really nice filmic look to all of your pics here. Plus that part of Bath is one of my favourites with the giant tree and Sally Lunn buns!!!

    Sigma 150-600mm contemporary

Really happy to get my first 'long' lens a couple of weeks ago, and took it to Cotswolds Wildlife Park for its first outing with my Canon 6D Mark II. These shots have been unaltered, looking forward to doing a bit of post-processing when I get the time. I was really happy with it - this seems...

The Vintage + Classic Adapted Glass Thread

I was fortunate enough to borrow a Canon Dream Lens (50mm f/0.95) for a weekend a couple of years ago. It was an odd little setup because it had been converted to a Leica M Mount, which I then used a Metabones adaptor with a Sony a7 II. Granted I struggled a bit to take some decent pictures...
